When we talk about the culture of reading, we as educators should first of all believe in the importance of reading for pleasure: have a book corner in our class and create as much as possible the right atmosphere for our students to feel free to go towards the book corner and to develop the culture of reading for pleasure. We should also find ways to encourage our students to feel free to come in front of the class to share their feelings about the book they have read.
What do you about this?

I'm a trainee educator who is finishing teachers diploma and I agree with your statement. At first it was quite challenging to create that kind of atmosphere and with time I realised that encouraging pupils to create their own story or big book to be put in the book cornor, was very child centered. Pupils started to be interested to read with a pleasure and they also attempt to read the other books that I added in the cornor.
