Comarasawmy Marie Lisette Louise>>>
In my point of view, child centered education equals to an activity based, integrated approach to the teaching-learning process.Hence, I believe that the whole classroom physical aspect needs adaptation to same. By this I mean pupil/pupil interaction -teacher/pupil interaction within a setting that would encourage and facilitate group work.

When we talk about the culture of reading, we as educators should first of all believe in the importance of reading for pleasure: have a book corner in our class and create as much as possible the right atmosphere for our students to feel free to go towards the book corner and to develop the culture of reading for pleasure. We should also find ways to encourage our students to feel free to come in front of the class to share their feelings about the book they have read.
What do you about this?

Child Centered education

Marie Anne Roland>>>
Educators in Mauritius have to change their mindset and think more in terms of the child. there are so many ways of innovating at school level. we can talk about introducing different types of cultures nowadays in our schools(e.g.: culture of reading, culture of eating properly...)

Let us think and be creative.
